February 2023: Demuth authors HF 1809, a bill to ban abortion. She has consistently been a threat to the other competitors in Anti-Abortion Alpine Skiing.
January 2023: Demuth voted against the PRO Act and the Reproductive Freedom Defense Act, supporting a total of zero women in Minnesota!

February 2023: Demuth voted against free school meals for children, earning her some credibility in the upcoming Speed Skating over SNAP Benefits event. Clearly, Minnesotans’ hunger isn’t a priority for Speaker Demuth.

January 2026: Demuth stood silent after Trump’s ICE agents abducted a 5-year-old Minnesota child and used him as bait to draw family members out of their home.
January 2026: Demuth attended a meeting with Vice President JD Vance and endorsed the terror ICE is unleashing on Minnesotans. And even after the killings, unjust detainments, and abductions of children by Trump’s ICE agents, Demuth has repeatedly stated she is still seeking Trump’s endorsement.

May 2026: Demuth blocks a gun violence prevention bill from a vote in the MN House of Representatives. This was AFTER she promised the parents of children who were gunned down in a school shooting that she would not block such a bill. It’s absolutely abhorrent, but it’s sure to please Trump.
